Despoina Angelaki
PhD
Despoina Angelaki is a PhD candidate at the Department of Physics at the University of Crete, conducting her research at the Ultrafast Laser Micro- and Nano- Processing Laboratory. She received a PhD scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation – IKY. She obtained a Masters degree in Medical Physics from the Paris – Sud University (University of Paris — XI, Orsay) with the support of an Eugenides Foundation Scholarship and holds a Diploma in Applied Physics from the National Technical University of Athens. Her research interests include the development of laser-structured scaffolds for neural tissue engineering and the study of the effect of topography on neural tissue growth.
