Ms. Maria Sygletou is a Ph.D. candidate at the Physics Department at the University of Crete, Greece. She received a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Physics from the University of Crete, Greece in 2009 and 2011, respectively. During the graduate program, she joined the Institute of Electronics Structure and Laser (IESL) in FORTH and studied the Laser ablation mechanisms of Biopolymers, under the supervision of Prof. C. Fotakis. In 2012, she joined the Ultrafast Laser Micro and Nano Processing Group of the IESL, FORTH. Her current research interests include functionalization and spectroscopic study of organic photovoltaic coatings using ultrashort laser pulses.
