Maria Syskaki is a Master student at the Department of Materials Science & Technology at the University of Crete, Greece. She received her Bachelor degree in Physics from University of Crete, Greece in 2022. During her B.Sc thesis she studied the light transport properties of disordered media. In 2021 she worked as a trainee at IESL-FORTH, where she studied and developed anisotropic diffusive media. In 2022 she worked once more as an intern on School Teaching of Sciences at the 1st High School of Heraklion. Her current research interests include the synthesis and characterization techniques of micro- and nano- structured metal halide perovskites for gas sensing applications.
